Etwas für die Kategorie „Tipps und Tricks mit Paratech“: Stabilisieren einer LKW-Kabine, Entfernen einer LKW-Tür. Türen können sauschwer sein und müssen, insofern sie entfernt werden, kontrolliert zu Boden gelassen werden.

Dies war die praktische Umsetzung einer länger im Kopf gärenden Idee. Zwar ist die Kabine hier intakt, die Tür auch sehr leicht, aber es geht – wie bei Allem – um Optionen, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Unterm Strich hat das wirklich gut geklappt.

This is the first test of an idea using Paratech equipment to stabilise a truck cabin and remove a door. Obviously, the cabin here is undamaged, but for rescue services, it is about tools in the box – the more options you have, the better. This actually worked really well.

Zuerst wird die Kabine stabilisiert. Dieses Vorgehen setzt voraus, dass die Kabine nicht abgerissen ist, die Scharniere vorne also intakt sind.

First, the cabin is stabilised. This works only if the cabin hinges at the front are undamaged:

Zuerst werden die Verkleidungen hinter der Vorderachse entfernt um den Unterboden der Kabine freizulegen.

First, the plastic covers behind the front axle are removed, here using a hydraulic cutter.

Anschliessend wird eine Stütze gesetzt (bei LKW normalerweise eine 90-147cm , Part No. 796202, sowie zwei 15cm-Platten), und mittels Spanngurt wird die Kabine auf die Stütze gespannt. Übrigens auf beiden Seiten. Resultat: Bombenfest!

Vorteil: man muss nicht mit Spanngurten über der eventuell verformten Kabine arbeiten, und diese werden dann wirkungslos, wenn an der A-Säule geschnitten wird. Ausserdem sind sie nicht im Weg.

Then, a strut is placed (for trucks 90-147cm Part no. 796202 plus two 6″ bases), and the cabin ratcheted down onto the strut. Rock solid and won’t move.

This alternative is better than using ratchet belts over the cabin, as these become obsolete when the A-post is cut, and they are not in the way.

Nun geht es ans Tür entfernen. In diesem Fall haben wir die Tür einfach aufgemacht; im realen Unfall geht es entweder gar nicht, genausogut, oder anders!

Now, the door will be removed. In this case, we have simply opened it. In reality, this might not work at all, or must be adapted, or could work exactly like this!

Benötigt wird eine Stütze mit einer Länge von ca. 2,50m benötigt (Fernfahrerkabinen sind da durchaus höher), in diesem Fall ein 610er-Longshore. In grau wäre das ein 796204 (140-220cm) plus 90er-Verlängerung.

Der Trick sind die Platten (Bases): beides 15er-Platten mit einem D-Ring, beispielsweise vom Dreibein. Im oberen Ring wird der Spanngurt durchgeführt, und einmal am Fahrzeug und einmal an der Tür befestigt. Hierfür muss die Innenverkleidung entfernt werden. Die Stütze wird gegen das Dach des LKW gelehnt.

A strut with a length of around 2,5 metres is required, check the actual height of the cabin before. Long distance cabin have greater heights. In this case, we are using a 610 Longshore, but a 204 (140-220cm) plus a 90cm extension will do.

Using 6″ hinged bases with D-ring, as used in the Tripod Kit, a ratchet belt is passed through the above D-ring and fastened on one end to the truck, on the other end to the door. If necessary, remove the interior trim. The strut is leaned against the roof of the truck cabin.

…und wird zu Boden gelassen. Vorsichtig den Spanngurt öffnen und festhalten, notfalls zu zweit wenn die Tür schwer ist.

Eine ganz große Überraschung war, dass man eigentlich niemand an der Stütze brauchte um diese festzuhalten, oder anders herum, wie stabil sie im Laufe der gesamten Arbeit stand. Warum das so ist, sieht man an den Kräften:

Zwar etwas vereinfacht dargestellt, aber die resultierende Kraft aus dem Spanngurt ist gleich mit der Stütze.
